Apprenticeship and Training

Taking Pride in Our Work and Our Members

Quality. Reliability. Professionalism. The Northwest Carpenters have a reputation of excellence. Our regional trusts invest in training for new generations of workers into becoming professionally trained workers and future leaders in the construction industry.

Apprenticeship program

Apprenticeship is a great way to start a career as a carpenter. Membership procedures and requirements vary from area to area. Please contact the training center nearest you for more information.

Members of the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters are entitled to training through Training Centers located Council-wide. Training is supervised by a Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee with members from the Union and the signatory employer. For more information about joining the Union and getting paid to learn, please contact Kathy Swan.

Skills Upgrade Training

If you are already a member, you have the opportunity to sign up for FREE training       through your regional trust. Upgrade your skills and increase the demand for your work by earning certifications in forklift, total station and more.
